I live in Seattle and am currently ranked 8 kyu by AGA.
My friend David taught me the game years back and we enjoyed playing weekly games until he moved away. Now I play mostly on KGS, though not often, and sometimes I'll pick up an odd game with a friend or at the Seattle Go Center.
Oddly enough, I've probably read more books on go than I've played serious games, which tempted me to paraphrase Hikaru Shindo when asked my rank when I first stopped into the Seattle Go Center - "I haven't played much, but I think I'm pretty good." :)
I've been teaching my kids (now 4 and 6) how to play, and it's been a lot of fun watching things click in their head.
