David passed away in November 2013, after a period of time from a neurodegenerative disease.

My name is David Drexler. My username on KGS/dashn is lusion and duckslammr. I am a go player in Oklahoma City.

I learned the game in 1977. When I got my first programming job, the fellow who hired me said that Real Programmers played go. I didn't know about that, but I wanted to be a real programmer so I learned it. But it wasn't until just recently that I started studying and improving. Sensei's Library gets a lot of credit.

I have been on KGS for at least a few years under various account names.

And btw, "duckslammer" has nothing to do with violence towards waterfowl. It is a whimsical name for the fretted dulcimer due to the hourglass shape of the instrument.
