I started playing Go back in 1998, when I was only eight years old, with three other friends, under the tutelage of Teacher Chen--an old Chinese man in the Bay Area, California, whose first name I still do not know. Since then, three of us (including me) have stopped learning Go; the one remaining, however, has become a dedicated Go amateur in California--meaning he can whup the rest of us in a heartbeat.

I'm still extremely interested in playing Go, in spite of my terribleness at it; I spend time studying games I can't understand and playing games online with Panda-gGo. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something here (ha!)--just not in terms of strategy.
