Fujitsu Cup
The International Go Federation Fujitsu Cup (富士通杯) was the first world go championship. The first event was held in 1988, and it has taken place every year since then, reportedly discontinued after the 24th edition in 2011. The winner's prize is ¥15,000,000.
The 1st Fujitsu Cup was a 16-player knockout tournament, but in subsequent years it has been 24-player knockout with 8 players being seeded into the second round. Starting in 2011, it became a 32 player single knockout. There are also preliminary events to qualify for a place in the main knockout. In contrast to most other international titles, even the final is just a single game rather than a match.
