perhaps we should explain with screenshots how paths work for readers?

i often miss the path functionality, because i come to a part of the path from a different direction. (random pages etc.) i am not sure about multi-path pages, but the amount of time spent in manually adding path functionality to beginners exercises among others indicates that may be useful at least for single path pages or pages with a natural main path (e.g. tsumego of a big collection, BQM, etc.)

It would also be possible to show the path-navigation every time, regardless of whether one reaches the page through the path or by some other way (e.g. random browsing.) I already do this for the SL snapshots.

Also I would like to point out that on e.g. the Beginner Exercises path, the solution pages are not on the path. This means if a person goes through like:

  • Exercise 1
  • Exercise 1/Solution
  • Exercise 2
  • Exercise 2/Solution
  • Exercise 3
  • ...

They cannot use the path. In the case of that one, links are added at the bottom of every page, in essence manually "pathing" the exercises. I think I may do something similar to IntroductionToLifeAndDeath to preserve the flow, but it's a pain to do by hand...
