About 'Search Related'

Search related (accessible by clicking on the page title) looks for related pages of the current page. The idea is to quickly find pages which are relavant to the current topic.

Currently three searches are performed:

1. Pages linking to same destinations
2. Pages sharing same words in title
3. Complete references

1. Pages linking to same destinations

This section lists pages linking to the same destinations as the current page. I.e. if the current page links to e.g. page "Atari" you will see other pages which link to the page "Atari" as well. The more links the current page has, the more related pages you get.

The search results are sorted in three different fashions:

1. by number of shared links: sorted by number of pages linked from the related page and the current page.
2. by forward score: see Pages by Distance (essential go terms and concepts rank high)
3. by backward score: see Pages by Distance (central index pages rank high)

Limited to 25 results per category.

2. Pages sharing same words in title

The title of the current page is split up into words and SL is searched for pages containing these words in their title. Pages are ranked by forward score (see Pages by Distance)

Limited to 25 results per category.

3. Complete references

This section lists all pages linking to the current page. Pages are divided by their page type (see About Page Headers). This information was previously on the "page info & history" page.
