I have been playing go off and on since November 2002. It becomes an obsession where I play lots, than other things in my life (i.e. new job, a new baby, etc.) take me away from it for months at a time. Lately, I have started to play more again and have started studying.
I am setting up this page so that I can use it as a study resource to take notes.
Currently I am around 15 Kyu my goal is to reach 10 Kyu by the New Year (less than three months away). I am not sure if that is realistic or not. I think I was closer to 13 Kyu about 6 months ago but that was when my son was born so I slipped a few stones from not playing.
I have started by trying to study Fuseki and I am now moving on to basic Josekis. I am reading through The Elementary Go Series. I have finished reading the book "In the Beginning" and now I am moving on to "38 Basic Josekis". At the same time I am reading through the Graded Go Problems for Beginners series by Kano Yoshinori. As well as Opening Problems by Richard Bozulich.
I play on KGS, DGS, and at my local go club.
The following are the subjects I am currently taking notes on:
