This sub-page is for any discussion of move order in the Two Player Three Color Go variant.
A good move order should minimize the ability of the player who is behind to sabotage the third color (and their own) then force the opponent to take it. It should also evenly distribute moves (slightly more to the third color, for stability). It should not leave a way to game the (forced switching) system.
A 16 move cycle is given with the initial proposal for the variant (and needs validation).
This 10 move cycle with a twist was also suggested:
If a switch occurs at step 5, play continues at step 1 (instead of 6). If a switch occurs at step 10, play continues at step 6 (instead of 1).
