Teaching Goban
Keywords: Equipment
A teaching goban commonly refers to a oversize board which is placed vertically. They allow a teacher to give a lesson to a large group of players. There are two basic types
- Magnetic board, in which black and white magnets are attached to the board
- Slotted board, in which cards are slotted into little pockets on the board
It is possible to construct your own teaching goban, or demonstration board. The AGA has a tutorial for this purpose, see make-your-own-demo-board
