O Yujin (sometimes Oh Yujin, Korean 오유진, Japanese 呉侑珍, Chinese 吴侑珍) is a female Korean 9-dan professional player born in 1998-06-11. She is the [ext] second daughter of O Dong-hwan and Lee Kyung-hee. She learned Go with her older sister on their father’s recommendation.

As of 2024-11-28, O Yujin is the [ext] #8 ranked female in the world and #3 female in South Korea. On the 2016, 2017, and 2019 [ext] rating lists, she was the #3 female go player in the world. In 2024, she scored her 600th career win. Her total score is 986 games, 630 wins, 356 losses, for a 63.89% win rate (as of 30 Nov 2024). She has won 3 international women’s titles and 3 Korean women’s titles.

Promotion history

O qualified as a pro in 2012-07-30 through a double elimination tournament alongside Kim Sinyoung. She was promoted to 6-dan in 2018, 7-dan in 2019, and 8-dan in 2021. Then later that year, she was awarded a special promotion to 9-dan after beating Choi Jung 9p 2–1 in the 26th Women's Kuksu, after beating Cho Hyeyeon 9p and Kim Chaeyoung then-8p [ext] on the way.
