JohnF. This is a little bit of a mystery. I have never seen it explicitly stated, but asked around and have seen various clues (such as she herself says the main influence in her becoming a go player was her father). I think it is fairly safe to assume father-daughter. But there may be some unknown complication (e.g. she was perhaps adopted).
