Kitani Go First Game SGF

    Keywords: Culture & History

Here is the [ext] game record at Jan van der Steen's website, GoBase, using the new on-line replayer.

Here is the link to the [ext] sgf file on Jan's site. To access this you need a user name from Jan (send him and email request with the username and password you would like). A small fee is required. Every serious Go student should have one although I have to say that the replayer makes downloading a lot less important than it used to be!

HolIgor: The replayer is a nice tool but it does not allow one to create and play out a variation in the situation when your own mind is too feeble to see the result. And you have to be online to use it. Still the replayer allowed access to the games on Jan's site. Creating account does not work for me because of the policy of the site. It is clearly stated there that one cannot create a permanent copy of a game record (for example, save it to disk). You were only allowed to review the games. How could I review the game (before the replayer) without saving it to disk?

I understand that all those were just tricks to feed the wolves while keeping the sheep alive, but I felt very reluctant to use the service. I have a lot of different game records found elsewhere but never took any record from Jan's site.

Hyperpapeterie : the following comments were added in a way that made it look as if they were HolIgor's. Unless indicated otherwise, I'm editing to make clear that they are not.

iktomuseyokkis? i added the comments. sorry. it was an off day. whoever doesn't have a gobase account can get the sgf for this game simply by going to the first edit. as in, yeah, the data used to be located conveniently here, but now it's not...
