App for the ipad 2
Zengarden: "GO TOUCHER" is a Japanese app with downloadable games for viewing and a virtual Go board and stones to play with. It does not appear to have a save game function, which is slightly annoying.
myshlev: Go Toucher is not a Japanese, but rather a Chinese app. It does have limited English support though, and the last update added a client to play on IGS. Unfortunately, the English support does not include translations of player names in the game database. They do however have head-shot photos of most of the professionals whose games are included. This looks rather bizarre because all of the photos were taken at different locations, lighting, etc., as opposed to how standard yearbook photos might look. The most interesting feature is support for a Go variant where three people play on the same 19x19 board, Black, White, and Gray. They call this variant "GoChaos?". Also unfortunately, their website ( http://go.xtoucher.com/) is down at the moment and the only way to contact them is via Sina Weibo. So this makes the future of the app seem uncertain.
