Fumakilla Go Women's Brains
The Fumakilla Go Women’s Brains (フマキラー囲碁女流ブレーンズマッチ) is an unofficial invitational knockout tournament for top female players. It is intended as a female version of a Japanese Timing / NHK Cup-style tournament, i.e., fast play.
The 5th Edition invited 12 female players ranked by prize money from the 2024 Seven Major Tournaments + Women's Tournament (excluding the Teikei Cup Female Legends).
It is sponsored by Fumakilla (Katakana: フマキラー, Fumakirā), an old Japanese pest-control company that made the world’s first liquid insecticide in 1920. It is based in Tokyo, but the tournament venue is Brains Park Hiroshima, the company's research facility.
