BensonDarr

BensonDarr (a.k.a. Phoenix Go) is an AI developed by Tencent; it is based on the AlphaGo Zero technique of training without human knowledge.

Versions have been playing on the Fox server. Account names include "BensonDarr" and "金毛测试", both of which reached 10 dan. These accounts feature a profile picture of a golden retriever dog, which has prompted Chinese players to name the black opening below as 金毛流 the "golden retriever style", as Phoenix Go seems to almost exclusively use this opening as black.

In April 2018, Phoenix Go won the Berry Genomics 2018 World AI Go tournament, ahead of Fine Art (2nd), Leela Zero (3rd) and five other programs. In May, it was open-sourced, including a 20 block network.
