    Keywords: Question

kb: I see the following "joseki" played out by mid to high dans (as a trick play). What is (are) the best way(s) to follow up here for Black?

Handicap stone, approach, pincer, wedge

Dave: This is not exactly a trick play. It has been used at least a couple of times by Cho Hun-hyeon. Although it does not seem that any other pros followed his lead.

BobWhoosta: I can't help but think this is not the same joseki. Where is the low black stone in the first diagram in the second diagram?? W8 should be a black stone, shouldn't it??

Tapir: Sides are switched, the left side becomes the top.

BobWhoosta: Oh, duh.
