Aphorisms

   

Aphorism is literally a principle or general truth expressed tersely in a few telling words, in such a way that when once heard it is unlikely to pass from the memory.

They differ from proverbs by having a witty author, whereas proverbs are usually collective heritage.


Good judgement often comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement. (tderz)
