62.240.183.35: Keyboard ShortCuts (2005-11-15 13:53) [#482]

Hello, i must admit that Drago is quite nice. But I missed shortcuts so much. I use plenty of time to go to click to black stone and then go to click to change the colour... I think ctrl+z and ctrl+x would be ok. (or similir). And one more important shortcut - change which colour begins. :) Thank you for consideration With regards chrpa

I would really like this feature too. Maybe you could make the keystrokes configurable somehow? I use a non-standard keyboard layout, so Z and X are not next to each other, or easily reachable with one hand.

84.5.66.157: Added to the wish list (2005-11-17 01:11) [#503]

Hello chejnik, hello Tim,

you are right, I agree. Actually, this was one of the remarks I got from one of the first friends who saw Drago: "and the shortcuts?". Ok, added to the wish list. Now the questions are how and when?

A first step could be to define shortcuts for a limited set of commands by editing the configuration file. If this is not too much work, I will try to add this to the next version, planned soon, and mainly concerned by a Russian translation.

If you can only do a couple, I would like to see "Add black stones" and "Add white stones" That would make entering problems a lot faster.

GillesArcas: Shortcut feature (2005-11-20 00:34) [#517]

Next Drago release will include the possibility to define shortcuts by editing the ini file. The following text will be included in the readme file. No documentation in the help file is planned as a more friendly definition way will be available in a future version. I hope that this will answer to your requests (Tim, chejnik, Evgeny). Feel free to make any comment. -- Gilles

Looks good, Gilles.

I did notice one minor thing - the first thing I tried was using F1-4 for AddBlackStone?, AddWhite?, etc. I have Drago set to trap focus in the comment area, and the F keys aren't being recognized.

I tried switching to some Alt combinations, and that worked fine.

GillesArcas: Option conflict (2005-11-24 00:18) [#543]

Hi Tim, you are right. I did not test enough with the KeybComment option on as it is not yet published... Sorry for inconvenience. I hope the solution you found is ok. To give more details, this option is set by editing the ini file and enables to limit the scope of keyboard to text input only (and not navigation):

[Options]
KeybComment=0 or 1
