Karl Knechtel: I didn't want to just add it to the list and step on your toes, though.

White to minimize aji.

I guess this can be considered an "elementary" worst move problem. Sadly it is based on a real game :(

(W3 may be at a, b, c, or d.)

The obvious answer. After this move, black may tenuki once and respond to W3 to live with 7 points in gote, or tenuki twice and let white get a seki in exchange of getting three moves elsewhere (see below):

[Diagram]
White reduces the group to zero points at the cost of giving black three moves elsewhere.

I created the Worst Move Problems page, and I suppose you may link your problems from there.

I took the liberty and copied your problem (and MrTenuki's answer) to Worst Move Problem 15.

Sure, why not? Go ahead and put it problem 12 =)

As long as we all have fun and learn something about go, these pages have served their purposes, isn't it? (there's nothing about toe stepping really)

How about this: Whoever post the problem should know the answer and be the judge on who gets it right, and the person that post the problem would also be the one that add the score for that problem?

In fact, we can move all these to a real page (instead of in my home), if that's better.

I think this would be a good idea, so if it is ok with you, I (or some other librarian) would rename all the pages.

Go ahead and do whatever you want with them =)
