Western Go Ladder

The Western Go Ladder (formerly available under: http://westerngo.org/ladder/) was a series of online tournaments run by Robert O'Malley. The rounds were modelled after the Korean Hanguk Kiwon system of training. The participants are divided into sections based upon strength. A round robin tournament is conducted within each section over the course of about six weeks. At the end of each round, the strongest players in each section are promoted to a higher section and the weakest players in each section are demoted.

The ladder was terminated on 19 November 2005 at the completion of the 14 round.
