String Connection

In Robert Jasiek's terminology, a string connection is a stone placement that connects itself to a string or unifies two or several strings as one string. The term is controversial, as can be seen from the discussion page.

This is an example of a play that is a string connection. Jasiek considers it to be a more general move type than solid connection when that is understood in the meaning of being a special type of thick cut protection.
