Hello, world! I'm a young man from Seattle, WA, USA. I'm a student at the University of Washington majoring in Near and Middle Eastern studies with a focus on languages. Specifically, Turkish, Arabic, and Mandarin. I've been interested in Go since I was younger, but only decided that I would start to seriously start to learn in Feb. 2008.

I'm also an active traceur ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour), and workout everyday. I pride myself as an intellect and warrior; I've been a martial artist for 12 years in Karate and Tae Kwon Do until recently when I took up combatives and other military martial arts. I balance athletics with an interest in Go, international affairs, and language studies.

I'm new to Go, but I'm a quick learner and I can feel my mind happily absorbing everything it can read about Go!
