Main line.

The placement at W1 is the tesuji; B2 offers the strongest resistence. However, W3 and W5 are clever plays, because B8 cannot connect at W9 because of a shortage of liberties. W9 takes away the second eye.

Variation.

Black B2 tries to expand the eye space, but the hane at W3 destroys the possible eye at the corner. After W7, black dies from a straight three.
