Other twentieth-century groupings of pro players in Japan, besides the Nihon Ki-in and Kansai Ki-in. These are of historical interest, mainly; the Inoue house also continued formally long after the Meiji era. The Yasui house became extinct in 1903. (The Honinbo house came to an end in 1940 with the death of Shusai; it had incorporated the Hayashi house since Shuei joined it.)
