RichardHunter I agree that Problem 23 has mistakes, but I disagree with the above method of correction. I think that the problem statement is ok if the answers are written appropriately and the diagrams not changed. Can Black kill? The answer is yes, Black can kill by winning a ko.

Problem 23 Success. After exchanging 1 for 2, Black reduces from the outside with 3. White must fall back to 4 making a ko.

Problem 23: White error  

Problem 23 Mistake by White. If White connects at 4 here, the group dies unconditionally owing to a shortage of liberties.

Page 49, problem 41: The problem is misplaced on the board. The problem should appear in the corner, not on the side far from either corner.
