    Keywords: People

Howard Landman is a 3-dan amateur and Go researcher with an emphasis on combinatorial game theory. He is the author of "[ext] Eyespace values in go". and the Poka computer Go program. Though he calls Poka "an exercise in artificial stupidity" since it does not read at all, it has twice taken 3rd place in North America. Landman himself won the 1-dan band of the U.S. Open and the Best Participant prize at the 1989 U.S. Go Congress.
