Komatsu Kaizen

(小松快禅) Player of the Edo period, active from 1751 to 1803. He was a monk. He played several games, in two matches, against Wakayama Rikkan (1773) and Honinbo Retsugen (1777-1778).

Komatsu is also known for a game, left unfinished, against Yokozeki Iho, the first professional woman.

He also discovered Kaizen's Heavy Plastering.
