Kamakura the book / Errata

Sub-page of KamakuraTheBook

Errata

Cover

Only one kanji of the three comprising each player's name appears on the spine of the book. The other two are immediately adjacent on the back cover. Text was oriented horizontally in place of vertically.

Page 8: the previously underused takamoku (5-4) and mokuhazushi (6-3) openings": (6-3) should be (5-3).

Page 51: "Go said he also considered pushing through at B1 in Diagram 47...": B1 should be W1

Page 58: The penultimate line refers to Diagram 90, where Diagram 67 is meant.

Page 100: Text says that the sound of bombers overhead was absent at Kamakura (as opposed to Tokyo). However, the game was played in June 1940, and it would be surprising if there were really bombers over Tokyo at that time.

John F. The Japanese had busy bomber bases.

Page 142: In diagram 30-35, label A is in the wrong place. It should be one place to the right of label B.

Page 153: "(B64 at white+triangle)" should be "(W64 at B57)"

It should be noted that most of the above and several others have been corrected in the current 2nd edition.
