IndirectConnection

An indirect connection does not ensure a 100% connection but makes cutting unattractive or at best equal for the opponent.

The term as well as direct connection have been introduced in Joseki Volume 1 Fundamentals and Volume 2 Strategy because indirect connection is a relevant term in practice and because the terms are used in careful definitions of more advanced terms (such as n-connection) and in general principles.

The reason is that Black's cutting attempt would be bad. White has the forcing moves 2 and 4 and then can attack with 6.
