Ilja Valerievich Shikshin (Илья Валерьевич Шикшин, born May, 7th, 1990) is a strong amateur EGF 7-dan Go player.

Shikshin is the younger brother of Russian professional Svetlana Shikshina. His nick on KGS is roln111 - 8 dan.

Shikshin was born in Kazan, Russia. His trainer is father Valery Shikshin, who also taught Alexandre Dinerchtein 3p, Svetlana Shikshina 3p, Andrey Kulkov 7d, and Timur Dugin? 4d.

Comments John F. This is an English site, so why not use a romanisation system that is used in English-speaking countries? "Ilja" doesn't belong here. While it can occur in some old romanisations it is not consistent with the other letters romanised here. The informal Library of Congress/British Library seems preferable (thus Ilia, Andrei, etc) but the Russian Passport 2003 system would also be more acceptable than the present mishmash. Uberdude On his KGS account it is "Ilya", in EGD it is Ilja.
