Hayashi Timing

A Time System that I have not encountered anywhere else.

A variant of either Japanese or Canadian timing systems, except when you run out of time to the point where one would normally lose the game, you simply forfeit your turn.

For the purposes of ko, it would be the same as passing.

It would not count as a pass for the purposes of ending games.

One would have to come up with some system to deal with an opponent who stubbornly refuses to play - perhaps three consecutive "pass-on-time" would result in an instant loss.
