Give Your Opponent What He Wants/ Discussion

Bill: This statement describes very well my style of play. It is psychologically satisfying when your opponent scratches his head and wonders why he lost, since he achieved all his objectives. ;-)

However, to pull it off your judgement has to be better than your opponent's. That being the case, I do not think it rises to proverb status.

Reuven - Giving your opponent what s/he wants? lol, my opponents want my head... Or at least me dying all over the board... I don't think that... ;P

ChrisSchack: I think this would apply when your opponent is able to kill a group they want dead, then needs to expend a lot of effort in KEEPING it dead. You gain by their kill.
