Nakamura Doseki
Nakamura Doseki (中村 道碩 Nakamura Dōseki, 1582-1630) is regarded (retrospectively) as the founder of the Inoue house. Doseki was the pupil of Honinbo Sansa and guardian of Honinbo Sanetsu. Doseki was the second Meijin 1623 - 1630.
Doseki's main rival was Yasui Santetsu, the founder of the Yasui house. According to traditional records, they are supposed to have played 120 games over a period of just a few years, with Doseki winning two thirds of them.
