Close Encounters with the Middle Game

This book, which is part of the Mastering the Basics series, has as its subject the middle game. It is written by the Dutch 6-dan amateur player Michiel Eijkhout. Essentially the material is composed from a selection of articles originally written for the magazine of the Dutch Go Association. Each is a study of the continuation of a middle game from a game between professional players.
