Citizen 13660 by Miné Okubo (University of Washington Press: ISBN 0-295-95989-4), first published in 1946, is a graphic novel-format memoir of her experiences in a pair of internment camps established for Japanese-Americans (nearly two-thirds of whom were US citizens) during World War II.
On page 105, she explains various forms of recreation to be found at the camp at Tanforan Assembly Center in San Bruno (south of San Francisco):
