British Go Week
Keywords: Books & Publications
British Go Week was a Go promotion initiative undertaken by the BGA in 1981 and '84. Information can be found on the two respective weeks in British Go Journal editions #51 and #61.
In 2004, probably to capitalise on the Hikaru no Go boom, the UK Go Challenge was launched with a special focus on young players and schools. Up to and including 2014, it was accompanied by Tony Atkins' KisekiGo? newsletters. The Challenge has been, at least partially, organised by the Go event management group ZenMachine.
As of 2021, the UK Go Challenge is still running and has a dedicated website and BGA site page. It has been held every year apart from 2016.
