Baduk.pro was a social networking site for go players, founded by Alexander Dinerchtein.

The domain now hosts Japanese Go news and sensations, not to be confused with the regular Go news and sensations which is at gosensations.com.

Even in this state, the site has been inactive since 2018. Like many Go websites associated with Dinerchtein, it has become a vessel for casino spam, as Alexander has been paid for a long time by online casinos to do search engine optimisation.

The front page of the original site is snapshotted from 2013 to 2016. This article, though, was created in 2010.

A few weeks ago I registered on Facebook and was shocked! There are so many strange things on the page. My profile was so crowded with banners, applications and messages from people I’d never even met. Facebook even sent messages to everyone in my contact list without asking my permission. Needless to say, I wasn’t very happy. When I thought about this, I decided that Go players needed a place to go where they could feel welcome. I wanted to make a place like that where all of my friends could go to talk about or study this wonderful game.

On Baduk.pro, the first social network for Go players, you will never see any spam or advertisements that aren’t Go-related. We will never ask you to enter captchas or activate accounts. We have many social networks in Russia, but even there, there’s nothing yet in place for Go players who love the game.
