How should White deal with Black's thickness?

Zbaduk considers these moves and ends up preferring W1 by a small margin, A being on par. The press at B is inferior by 3%. The cut at C by 10% (hence more like a mistake). The interesting points are the shoulder hit at D and the 4 moves on the sector line, which are all on par with the blue move, except for the squared point, inferior by 4%.

However the analysis doesn't seem to hold when digging deeper.

Black's forcing sequence

Black forces in the top left to make sure E is no longer White's prerogative, then plays B8 on the sector line. At this point Black is ahead by 60%
