I'm a beginner at Go. I got into go through Hikaru no Go, just like many others, and I have been playing ever since. I am working hard on improving; I want to be very strong.

1d KGS before end of 8th grade summer. achieved 5d KGS by end of sophomore year
9d KGS by the end of senior year

adroitone tesuji by james davies and lessons in the fundamentals of go by toshiro kageyama are must-reads to get from 30k to 1d really quick. most of my improvement from 30k to 1d was reading and playing a lot of games. after 1d, it was a lot of doing problems and then studying and memorizing pro games
