TLSbot
TLSbot is a joint effort by Bazik and Broege to create a reasonably strong go program for 9x9 boards.
The bot is playing on KGS, under handles tlsBot (stable version) and tlsBotTest (unstable).
Current strength is best described on KGSBotRatings page. Below is a short history of major versions.
2005.06.11 - simple seki handling was added (in earlier versions all sekis were disturbed by self-atari). This version is currently being tested on KGS.
2005.05.08 - global search was added on top of Monte Carlo evaluation for the 2nd KGS Computer Go Tournament. This version proved to be 3 stones stronger than the previous one.
2005.04.05 - the bot is simple Monte Carlo algorithm implemented in Java. This means that the bot is quite slow comparing to others. The bot does not use any outside knowledge, the only exception is opening book learned from its own games.
